Standard poodles are our passion as a family, and we are dedicated to raising healthy pups with the best temperament and disposition. A product of well-documented and health-tested championship lines, our pups are hands-on raised to be exceptionally bright and loving companions, spending their formative early weeks as members of an extended family of adults, children, and other pets.

Dogmatique poodles have been placed with owners across BC and as far afield as Ottawa, Saskatchewan, and Washington State. Our pups have grown up to become devoted family pets, loving companions, conformation and agility champions, and therapy dogs. We breed relatively few litters because the health of mom and her pups is always our first priority.

Our puppies are vet checked and come with a lifetime of support, including microchipping and CKC registration at no additional charge. Puppies are available for viewing from four weeks old (to minimize the stress to mom), but their growth and progress can be followed on our website (www.dogmatique.com). Parents are available for viewing at any time, as we love to show them off!

We have had over 25 years experience breeding standard poodles. Quality, health, and temperament are our middle name. Isis poodles are home bred, producing just one outstanding litter a year. Our dogs excel in the conformation and obedience ring while still making outstanding pets.We have had dogs of our breeding go on to Best In Show and award of Merit winners at Westminster. We stand behind the health of our dogs for life. All our dogs are heath tested with proof provided with any puppy purchased. Visitors are always welcome at Isis.

I have been a Standard Poodle Breeder for many years, and some breeders have started out with my dogs. I breed blacks, creams, whites, silvers, and blues. I have bred many show ring champions, and some obedience title holders. I guarantee my puppies for life against proven inherited defects and illnesses.

We are located just outside of Vancouver, B.C., in the beautiful city of Port Moody. We are not a kennel, our puppies are raised in our home, our adults sleep in our beds and are a part of our everyday life.

Our commitment is to breed and raise the finest of red and apricot standards by carefully expanding the gene pool, proving our sires and dams worthy of reproduction through conformation showing. We also have "champions" outside the show ring in obedience, rally, and various health assisted areas such as "seizure detection". We breed seldom, only when we are wanting something to carry on our line.

We are proud that our foundation "Scarlett" was the first red female Champion in Canada, owner handled, and carried on to be the top producing red in the world.

We test for vwd, hips, cerf, thyroid and S.A., and all results can be verified on the OFA.

We gratefully share our lives and hearts with our gorgeous black standard poodles. We thoroughly enjoy working with our dogs in both conformation and obedience but find them to be the most wonderful companions in all aspects of our lives.

We try to plan a litter or two each year, in hopes of producing a puppy that will be worthy to keep as a future prospect for ourselves. The remaining puppies are placed in outstanding, thoroughly screened companion homes or sold to trusted show homes. Each litter is carefully planned and highly anticipated and the puppies are born into the most nurturing and caring environment possible.

At Splendent, we are committed to raising healthy, happy, well socialized, inky black Standard Poodles with absolutely outstanding temperaments. Our foundation dogs are all champion stock that are typical and worthy of the breed standard. Our poodles can compete in: conformation, obedience, agility, hunt and/or tracking - but most importantly, each is to be a loving companion and an important member of the family.

We only whelp a litter every couple of years - so every litter and each beautiful puppy is welcomed into this world with excitement, joy and delight. The puppies thrive in our nurturing, family environment - with daily handling and constant attention from our dogs, cats, children, friends and family. As they develop, our puppies complete the Early Neurological Stimulation Testing, they are temperament tested and structurally assessed - then each pup is carefully matched with its new loving, forever home. We provide copies of all genetic testing results, and a 5 (five) year written Health Guarantee.

I have a small very selective breeding program outside of Vancouver, B.C. Canada with limited litters ranging from one litter a year or one litter in three years. I breed for health, temperament and structure with all three being the same level of importance to me. A bonus to this is seeing the colours of silvers, blues, whites & creams.

I show my own dogs mostly from the Bred By Exhibitor Class for Conformation with Championship Titles in the U.S.A., Canada, (as well as International Champions) have dappled in agility, obedience and sheep herding with some being Certified St. Johns Therapy Dogs, CKC OTCHX, AKC CD and the first silver Standard to be a (Multi) BIS winner in Australia.

My pups are raised in my home where they interact in our daily lives with my husband, myself, children, one cat and a noisy bird that loves to boss the dogs around. Puppies are microchipped/tattooed, vaccinated, dewormed and examined by a certified Veterinarian. They are all introduced to crates at a very young age to know it as nothing else but a positive part of their lives for eating, sleeping and playing in for their own safety & privacy. They are leash walked and played with rides in crates in my van with all positive reinforcement.

A lot of thought & loving work goes into these little beings for finding the right match for a forever home. All puppies will be sold on Canadian Kennel Club Non-Breeding Registry for companionship, performance or show prospects. Must be willing to sign a contract with regards to spaying/neutering or prospective show puppy contract. One must protect their lines to prevent the improper breeding of these incredible loving dogs.

Our 4 legged "kids" are Champions from Champions, they are whelped and raised in our home (no kennel) and sleep on our bed at night. We consider health, temperament, beauty and brains to be of utmost importance.

Keeping the "kids" busy is a full time job, we start with early neurological stimulation and much socializing. We show in the conformation ring and then we do agility. We have dabbled in tracking and herding. We have been involved with kids programs, 4H and some therapy work.
