Health Screening: Yes
All standard poodle and miniature poodle prospective parents are tested.
Miniature poodles receive eye exams by a veterinarian who is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists as well as a DNA test for progressive retinal atrophy. They also are screened for hip dysplasia, legg calve perthes, patellar luxation, thyroid malfunction, and Von Willebrands disease.
Standard Poodles are tested for hip dysplasia using the OFA or Penn Hip method and also receive eye exams by a veterinarian who is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. Standards also receive a complete blood work up to screen for thyroid malfunction, Addison's Disease, and juvenile renal disease. They also receive DNA testing for Von Willebrands disease.

Empyrean Poodles is located in St. George, UT, just 90 minutes north of Las Vegas. We also have a home in San Diego, CA where puppies can meet their new families with no problem. We breed both standard and miniature poodles.
Our poodles live in our home as a part of our family and puppies are raised with hands on from the time they are born. We breed for conformation, health, and temperament in black and white, and occasionally apricot, cream, and blue. All puppies are a result of careful planning based on desired traits, in depth pedigree research, and parents that have been genetically tested with passing results. Adults and puppies are raised holistically on a super premium diet and minimal vaccination protocol. Puppies are started on crate training, potty training, and have been introduced to riding in the car prior to leaving our home. Puppies are also temperament tested to ensure that the right puppy is matched with the right family.
